How long do I need to wait for an appointment?

Appointments are usually provided within 1-3 days of the service being requested. If you need a visit before or after these time frames this can be arranged to fit in with you and your schedule.

Can your OT’s visit me at home?

Yes, our OT will make an appointment to see you in your own home so they can gain a thorough understanding of you in the context of your living environment. If you live in retirement village, nursing home or other residential facility, your OT will also come to you where you are.

How long is a standard visit?

Usually all first visits are a minimum of 45 mins but on average take 1 hour. If complex assessment or evaluation is required, the visit can take 1.5 – 2 hours.

What is the average experience of the OT that will see me?

On average, our OT’s have a minimum of 4 years experience, with our most senior OT’s having over 10 years experience.

Do I need to pay for the service at the time of the visit?

No, payment is not required at the time of the visit. If your service is being delivered through a government agency or funding scheme, no co-payment is required. If the visit is self funded, an invoice will be provided to you after completion of your service. Standard terms are 14 days.
